[ltp] Linux on T43p: Predesktop Area, Access IBM button and RnR

No, you have to go down to security.  Restart your computer, when you
see the IBM logo, hit the Access IBM button, this will bring you into
BIOS.
Page down to security, hit enter, you will see "Password, IBM security
chip, IBM Predesktop area.  Page down to IBM Predesktop area, hit enter.
If like me you don't have the Predesktop, you will see Access IBM.... --
Current setting Disabled.  You will then know for sure that it's
history.

That depends.  If you have made the most recent Recovery Cds; , I think so;
someone else can jump in here.  Then go into BIOS and change the
setting to start from disc, and insert the the first Recovery CD.
If you have not, come back to me on it.
