Today I've got a mail from my DSL ISP about some servicing. Most important thing
is that my DSL is offline now. As second & mobile connection I'm using UMTS
modem from Novatell Wireless. It works under Linux better than in Windows XP
with the apropriate kernel config.

So I decided to connect using my modem as I ussualy do when there is no
wifi/wired connection, but `pppd' failed with message
`device /dev/umts not found' or something like this. After while I found
major changes in PCMCIA card insertion log. Everytime when I boot system
in X6 Ultrabase card couldn't obtain IRQ

Without Ultrabase X6:

Modem works only if I boot and stay without X6. When I put notebook into X6
device exists but card doesn't dial until I press undock button (then X6 turns
to biggest AC adaptor I ever had).

I tried to play with Ultrabase serial, lpt and irda IRQ settings, it's useless.
Any hints ?

Thank you very much.
PS: I'm sorry, my english is worse. I will buy book and learn more.
