[ltp] Losing trackpoint after suspend

Unfortunately, I'm out of ideas here, apart from checking dmesg, 
/var/log/kernel/messages and /var/log/xorg.0.log.

Also, is there any program to configure the synaptics device in 
realtime? I've never looked, but there might be a way to do that.
