[ltp] T60 intermittent freeze

Good suggestion that. I tried it and I just had my first lockup. Same 
scenario as usual, except that with the vesa driver, I set the screen 
resolution at 1280x1024 (I think it's the max) and the horizontal lines 
were as wide as the screen.
