[ltp] How to do dual-screen with an open-source driver on a T61p ? (nVidia)

Dear all,

I am the happy owner of a T61p and the only remaining issue that
really annoys me is the impossibility _so far_ to have a dual-screen
display (i.e. internal LCD + external VGA) without using the nvidia
proprietary drivers.

Is there any way to do it with the VESA driver (I guess not) or with
the NV driver (I presume not) ?

Or if really this is impossible, what is the less painful method to
install the nvidia proprietary drivers on a Debian experimental ?
