[ltp] Minimal wattage?

I tried, mistakenly, to run a T-something or other with the smaller
powersupply used by the X series.  It overheated and began cycling on
and off.  The screen backlight blinked dim-bright each time and, I think, the
stress of switching burned out the lamp's voltage converter.  

Be careful.
