[ltp] Does generic RAM work on TPs?

Hello,

I want to upgrade my T60p's RAM to 2 Gb, does generik kingston RAM work, 
or do I have to get the TP specifik kingston RAM?
There is a price diff, that is why I ask, I wonder if it's not just a 
marketing scheme to get you to pay more...
