Hi,

I have a T23 at work. It has the most recent BIOS and Embeded Controller versions.
If I wan't to boot from the USB key. First I have to insert the key then boot the machine from power off. You have to go in the BIOS Menu and Select the USB key as your startup Disk... It will show up in the possible choice. Save it with F10 and boot. It will boot on the USB key.

Il will cease to work once you reboot the laptop without the USB key inserted. Then you have to repeat the procedure...

I do boot it sometime with Feather Linux on my USB. But I use it too from Qemu from inside windows. I guess you know how to use the SYSLINUX stuff to configure all this. If not look at the doc at http://featherlinux.berlios.de/usb-instructions.htm

  Regards,

            BT

Well it did boot though. Whether your resulting environment was
working or not is irrelevant. My s30, for example, will detect USB
devices in the bios and list them as disks, but it only attempts to
boot off the HD.

Also, I have the latest (as of about a year ago) BIOS update, which may
be another issue as well.
