Yes, there are a few suspend-related regressions [1] in 2.6.21. You could
stick with 2.6.20 if you want a stable system. I had problems with
suspend-to-disk [2] (Thinkpad R60).

I had suspend-to-RAM problems in the 2.6.21-rcX cycle, some of those were
solved by disabling CONFIG_PCI_MSI, so you could try that. (But 2.6.21
final seems to work for me.)
