[ltp] wifi0: rx FIFO overrun; resetting

I have the same laptop, same card.  Here is what helped me:

iwpriv (ath0 wifi0, or whatever) bgscan 0 in your /etc/init.d/boot.local

I edited some file to automatically restart ath_pci on hibernate.
