Be sure to burn discs using each of the two options in the utility.

You should then have a total of four discs (if using DVDs), the first of wh=
ich=20
is bootable.  Altogether, these discs contain exactly what is run when you =
hit=20
the ThinkVantage button on startup (what is on that partition on the HD).

So if you burn all those discs, you should be able to remove that extra=20
partition without losing anything, so long as your CD/DVD drive doesn't die=
=2E =20
Disclaimer: At least, that's how it seems to be with my T61!
