[ltp] Wireless Options for a T41

I have T41 which has been working great, except for the wireless. I
upgraded to a ipw2200 card (which I bought off the IBM website so I'd
avoid any bios errors), but recently I have been having a terrible time
with it.

I keep getting this error when receiving high amounts of data, whether
or not I am using WPA, WEP or nothing:
ipw2200: Firmware error detected. Restarting.

After some significant internet research, it appears that I have a
rather unique problem (the hwcrypto=0 doesn't help). I assume that I
just have broken hardware, or that I didn't notice the problems before.

I am ready to buy a whole new card, anything I can do get some solid
wireless.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Is the Atheros based Thinkpad
A/B/G card have pretty good performance? Is my card just junk and I
should replace it with an intel? Or are there other cards that are
recommended.

specs:
Thinkpad T41 / 2379-XX5
Intel ipw2200 (firmware 3.0, driver 1.2kmprq)
Archlinux 2007.08

Thanks,
Adam
