Hello,

I now tried to hook up a second monitor, and clone mode seems to work fine.
But there are some issues:

- dualhead gives

kervel@atlas:~$ xrandr --output VGA-0 --right-of LVDS
xrandr: screen cannot be larger than 2048x1200 (desired size 3000x1200)

i've read something in the mailinglist archives about adding a "virtual" line,
but i have no clue further..

- after suspend/resume, some xrandr commands don't work anymore
(like --output VGA-0 --off gets just ignored, and the monitor remains on)

- when in clone mode, one monitor does 1600x1200 and another one (laptop) does
1400x1050. the area on the big monitor that is below the visible area on the
small monitor seems to read from the same video ram as the normal area (if i
move a window there, fragments of that window appear everywhere). The area on
the right of the covered area does not have this proble.

the xrandr in ubuntu is: 1:1.2.2-0ubuntu1 and xorg is at 1:7.2-5ubuntu10 ..
could that be the problem ?

thanks !
greetings,
frank
