I've been running Ubuntu Hardy for about 4 weeks now using the daily 
compat-wireless builds, one from 4/4 and one from 4/24 and I've not had 
any problems.  This is using the 2.6.24-16.30 git tree from the tuxonice 
project.  I also have a T61.  I can leave my laptop unused all weekend 
and wireless will still be active on Monday morning.  This is with the 
Intel chipset....
