[ltp] Replacing a T61's Matshita UJ862 drive with an LG alternative?

Hello all,

I asked a similar question to this on IRC in ##ibmthinpad and on the
Thinnkpad forums, specifically:

Suffice it to say I've met with limited success.    The one drive I
might have found has been this one:

But I am unsure if this is any good, let alone would fit in a T61 --
has anyone any recommendations?   As you might have gathered from my
forum post I am scuppered by a region encoded drive -- and hence means
I am restricted by this for the majority of my DVDs.   Any insight is
welcome.
