[ltp] Thinkpad T43 1875-M1U 2GB of Ram only 1.8GB detected.

Can someone clue me in on this issue.   It that has followed me for 
longer than I can now recall.  

My system only detects 1.8GB of ram using any 2.6.x or 2.4.x series 
kernel.  memtest86 gives similar results although I can force the issue 
and quickly crash the machine by having  memtest86 probe the ram.  
Similar results if I pass a mem= parameter to the kernel on boot.  
WindowsXP SP2 detects all 2GB of ram?  I am also a bit unsure what this 
refers to "[   90.986612] agpgart: Detected 7932K stolen memory"  
however it does seem to be unrelated as everything works as expected 
including Compriz...

I could however use the extra couple hundred megs of ram as I am hitting 
swap quite a bit lately :(
