[ltp] Missing Alsa Master Channel on T61

The sound itself works very well, I don't have problems at all with it. It's 
just the missing Master channel.

Kernel is 2.6.24-rc4, patched with zen-sources
Alsa version is: 1.0.15 (using the in-kernel modules)
Distro is Gentoo

I can try a (newer) vanilla kernel, if you think that it could help. Is a Master 
channel possible with a T61 in general? I read somewhere that intel cards often 
don't have a Master channel.
