Typed as root:

zed@zed-laptop ~ alsaconf
bash: alsaconf: command not found

Went into Package Manager and found that ALSA utilities includes

amixer
alsamixer
amidi
aplay
aplaumidi
aconnect,aseqnet, aseqdump
