Yeah, backlight with intel stuff is kind of confusing currently. I'm
running 2.6.25-rc6 on a T61 and the backlight can't be controlled
through the sysfs interface. Currently, the only way to control it is
using xbacklight, but only using the =E2=80=9Clegacy=E2=80=9D interface. =
=E2=80=9Ckernel=E2=80=9D one
doesn't work (I guess it's the same thing as echo'ing something
is /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness).

I've reported this to xorg intel guys
( http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3D14462 ) but it's not
really helpful currently.
