I've got a T61 (Intel 965).
For my experience, I have to enable 64GB RAM support in ernel(v2.6.25.4) 
to get full 4GB RAM. Otherwise, even if enabled 4GB RAM supported in 
kernel, only 3GB shown. I don't know why. :-(
