You can save up to 0.6W with framebuffer compression, see http://www.lesswatts.org/tips/graphics.php unfortunately, there was a bug in the driver that was only recently corrected, see for instance https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/281084 hence we should wait for a little longer.
