[ltp] external DIGITAL monitor with ubuntu and intel i950 graphics

yes, I have the same graphicscard.

I just tried it and with the digitally connected monitor, it doesn't work.
In the bios I have as primary monitor the external one.
Under bootup, I see all messages on the external screen.
Once ubuntu has booted, all appeares on the internal screen while the
external is not visible anymore to the user, i.e., the little program
for changing the screen resolution does not see the external screen.

BUT: The analog screen works now.  I can do everything I want, it seems,
with the little resolution chooser program if the external monitor is
analog.

However, how about a digital monitor? The for eyes, the digital
connection is much better...
