Hi,

I apologise if this is too OT, but I can't find answer for this question so
I decided to ask thinkpad users here.

I'd like to buy Thinkpad X200s (or X200), but I am afraid of screen quality.

I was using X200 (1280x800 CCFL) for a several months, and screen quality
was not great, but OK for me. Then I bought T400, and it's my laptop for
now. I need another one, so I wanted to buy X301, but after a few hours on
this laptop, I was very disappointed with screen quality. For me, the
viewing angles are bad, and the screen was like if it was "dusty" inside. I
wouldn't use it for whole day in work.

So I am considering X200s, with 1440x900 LED backlight. But I am afraid, if
this is not the similar quality, as X301. In this case, I would go for X200
(1280x800 CCFL), which was acceptable for me. If you compare it by
parameters, X200s should be better, but - parameters for X301 are better
then X200 as well so I am not sure what to do now. Or was it because screen
on my T400 is much better, and I got used to it, so then found X301 bad
(worst than X200)?

X200 - 12.1" WXGA (1280x800) CCFL-backlight; Brightness: 200nits, 250:1
contrast ratio
X200s - 12.1" WXGA+ (1440x900) LED-backlight; Brightness: 250 nits, 300:1
contrast ratio
X301 - 13.3" WXGA+ (1440x900) LED backlight; Brightness: 300 nits, 250:1
contrast ratio

I've read many reviews (and searched through forums), but I think it's
probably matter of opinion, because most of them said, than screen on X301
is good for example.

So is here someone, who compared them together - X200 - 1280x800 CCFL vs
X200s - 1440x900 LED backlight (or even with X301), and is able to tell me,
which one is better?

Thank you very much for your opinions and advices.

Karlos
