[ltp] suspend from resume on x200 works, but brightness can't be changed

After applying the most recently BIOS update with "System Update"
through Vista, I can successfully resume from suspend on my X200 with
Linux (Debian, but running 2.6.27.4 that I compiled myself). I believe
I've seen reports on this list of being able to successfully resume on
the X300 as well, after the BIOS update.

Before the update, I was able to suspend and resume, but the screen
was mostly blacked out/empty (except for window borders, oddly), and
the system was unresponsive.

However, while everything appears to be working after resume (though
I've only done it twice), the brightness keys do not work. Trying to
use xbacklight doesn't have any apparent effect, either.

Hints on how to debug or solve this issue?

Thanks!
John
