Probably fine. But be sure that the nail polish is completely dry before 
you assemble the parts. Nail polish contains a solvent, which the 
thinkpad's plastic may not like.

Another alternative is to buy a small bottle of threadlock (or even a 
drop of superglue). But be careful: these come in different strengths, 
and you don't want to make the joint too strong!
