well the thinkpad is ok, i have been using it for months on 8.10 now with no
problems. unless it decided to break at the same time i decided to upgrade.
windows boot up fine. in windows terms that is...
just reinstalled, but i have a feeling that it'll be back... not right after
installing but after installing and configuring stuff.
