Hi, all,

I have a T400 ThinkPad running with Debian unstable. I am using tp_smapi
modules version 0.40. I made the following configuration for my battery
charging:

devices/platform/smapi/BAT0/start_charge_thresh=3D30
devices/platform/smapi/BAT0/stop_charge_thresh=3D85

And It seamed to work. But last night I hibernated on 85% of charge.
Today When I turned it on it was 54%. Just to note that I am using
a /etc/pm/sleep.d/00CPU script for hibernation.

However, my main question is: Is it normal when the battery is 54%
charged and when I plug in the AC it stays 54%. Should I always
discharge down to 30% before charging? And if so, what can I do to force
charging, when I need the battery charged.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Best regards,
Anton Katsarov
