I dissembled my T400, disconnected CMOS battery, and by the way, I
cleaned up the heatsink and reapplied thermal paste.

Guess what, the problem disappeared. Now the fan is working normally.
And the CPU temp and intel graphic temp both dropped (idle) by 3-4C,
and now it is become pretty hard to push the CPU temp above 55C to
speed up the fan, I have to open two 1080HD video, and 3 flashes from
Youtube, and by that time the computer is stuttering and slowish, but
the CPU temp still refuse to go up to 53C, amazing is the new thermal
paste. Right after I turn off the programs, the temp drop back to 40s
and fan slow down.

So cheers! Hopefully, there is no more surprises. Thanks a lot guys,
you guys are really a great help.
