Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm using Fedora 12.

I was using tp_smapi successfully until my kernel upgrade and now I can
no longer load it using as root "modprobe tp_smapi". I have been using
an akmod and have restarted the akmods service which gives me no errors.

modprobe gives me the following error message:
[root@Jon-Laptop ~]# modprobe tp_smapi
FATAL: Error inserting tp_smapi
(/lib/modules/2.6.31.12-174.2.3.fc12.i686.PAE/extra/tp_smapi/tp_smapi.ko):
Invalid module format

dmesg gives me the following output also, which appears to show some
sort of mismatch with regards to the kernel. However I do not know how
to solve this:

thinkpad_ec: version magic '2.6.31.9-174.fc12.i686.PAE SMP mod_unload
686 ' should be '2.6.31.12-174.2.3.fc12.i686.PAE SMP mod_unload 686 '

Thank you in advance for any help. I really need to get this working as
I last set my battery charge threshold to 40%!
