[ltp] Mute in 2.6.34

Good day everybody,

I just noticed the mute button did not just change to be able to mute and 
unmute but also that nothing happens in the EC when pressing mute, as in 
system wakes up from suspend speakers blaring and pressing mute doesn't help 
because the screen is still locked so a normal keypress is just not handled.
This is really a step backwards for me, I remember something floating by about 
an acpi string the kernel now sets to tell the bios/acpi there is a linux 
running, thus changing the behaviour. Can I specify something else in my grub 
kernel line to have the old behaviour back?
