That's a good point. And John, while you might not know code, there are 
other ways to make the code better:
- you can start to hang out in the developer communities for the 
projects you use
- you can offer offending content to be used for testing, as Mikhail 
suggests
- you can post a bounty for improving your particular pain

Members of the Scribus community can probably suggest other ways too.
