Thanks.   That reference (besides having RAM at very good prices) says the R50 
Type 1830 should use 333MHz RAM.    But my R50 currently has 266MHz RAM in 
the user-accessible slot and siezes if I put a gig of 333MHz RAM in.

Maybe I need to investigate further and see what's in the hidden RAM slot deep 
inside.
