Also having this problem. I notice when I am not using the ethernet em1 device (after changing bios settings to disable wake-on-lan) i am able to 'init 0' complete shutdown. when i am using em1 , then I notice that I init 0 or shutdown -h now and the machine fully powers off and then powers back on... i upgraded to latest bios as well ..... wonder how we can figure this out.
