[ltp] Battery Lock Up... In 10.10 Not 9.10

I have almost similar problems with my other Dell laptop (running Win XP).
The battery sometimes does not charge at all, sometimes it does charge. But
it's about 2 years old, and I guess my battery is just almost dead. If you
say yours is a new one, then probable it is the problem with your charger?
May be it just does not give enough voltage to keep your battery charging?
You can ask one of your pals, who also has Lenovo laptop to borrow you a
charger or ask guy at the local shop to do that.
