No, I did post it in the OpenSUSE mail list, but nothing useful there.  
On another computer (an old Compaq desktop), I'd get a desktop, but it 
would go blank every few seconds.  I didn't pursue it further, as I 
wasn't thrilled about moving to KDE 4, so I left my systems at OpenSUSE 
11.0.  The only exception is 11.3 on my firewall, which doesn't have a 
desktop installed.
