Hi everybody,

I just had a look at SMART results for my two months old T420s running
the tlp daemon and I noticed that the number of Load Cycles for the HD
has already reached 117000, with a "power on" of 887 hours.

This value seems quite high for two months of usage, should I start
worrying and taking countermeasures (namely hdparm -B 254 /dev/sda)? Can
anybody with some insights on the issue give me a useful advice. The Web
is so full of docs on this topic, where each one says the opposite of at
least another one, that I can't grasp a good advice.

Could also anybody having a T420s (or any new thinkpad, e.g. W520, T420)
report his Load Cycle counter, which can be get using

# smartctl -a /dev/sda | grep Load

Cheers and thanks for any information,
Alessandro

PS, I'm enclosing the whole smartctl log, if somebody finds it helpful.
