Well, RealTek NICs are buggy, el-cheap-o _crap_, plain and simple.

It should be possible to band-aid the driver enough that it will at least
try to keep the thing working, though.  You'll have to look for r8169 bugs
in bugzilla.kernel.org, and help people track down and fix it.
