The disabled RC6 feature is an issue for some time now. Enabling it saves a 
lot of power (8 Watts on my Sandy Bridge desktop), but it causes problems 
on certain setups. Most people should be able to use it, though.

It's sad to see RC6 disabled by default, as it seems to nearly double the 
idle power usage (and half the battery runtime) on otherwise very power 
efficent Intel based subnotebooks.
