OK, my computer has 2.6.39-bpo.2-amd64 and I also see this on
powertop's idle stats:

          Package | Core | CPU 0 CPU 1
POLL 0.1% | POLL 0.1% | POLL 0.0% 0.2 ms 0.1% 5.1 ms
C1 1.6% | C1 3.1% | C1 3.1% 0.4 ms 3.0% 0.3 ms
C2 95.8% | C2 92.2% | C2 90.6% 1.6 ms 93.9% 4.7 ms

                    | Core | CPU 2 CPU 3
                    | POLL 0.2% | POLL 0.3% 34.2 ms 0.0% 0.0 ms
                    | C1 0.1% | C1 0.1% 0.7 ms 0.1% 0.7 ms
                    | C2 99.4% | C2 99.1% 60.9 ms 99.6% 59.7 ms

Please note that I use powertop 1.97. Could you please let me know
which version of powertop you use?

Thanks.
