[ltp] X220t "convertible" tablet missing some ACPI "events"

Folks,
How does one activate ACPI and similar events on an X220t tablet?
My X61t tablet throws all sorts of events that I cannot get the X220t to
report. For example, there is a bezel button to shift the screen
orientation through the four orientations. (Works under win-dose.)
I've tried all sorts of event utilities and cannot see anything happen.

I've heard that there is some setting in /proc or /sys that enables
or disables things. I've also heard that you can wreck you operations
if you foul up those same settings. Does not make sense that things are
not all enabled by default.

I run Linux Mint-12 with Cinnamon. I have all updates through 15 July
2012.

Thanks in advance,
