[ltp] Pointer and special keys on a T440s...

I'm moving from a T510 to a new T440s, where i've just installed Ubuntu
14.04, without a glitch.
It is my ''work'' machine, and i'm forced to buy (really: rent) from one
supplyer. I've tried to catch some last T431s, but there's no way.

I'm really astonished of that box, that have also an SSD, bleezing fast!!!

I've found two main trouble:

1) no function key seems to work; i've tried to install also tp-smapi module
(ubuntu version 0.41-1) but nothing change. Some kernel info:

 May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.519419] thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad ACPI Extras v0.25
 May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.519422] thinkpad_acpi: http://ibm-acpi.sf.net/
 May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.519424] thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad BIOS GJET75WW (2.25 ), EC unknown
 May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.519426] thinkpad_acpi: Lenovo ThinkPad T440s, model 20AR003WIX
 May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.524662] thinkpad_acpi: Unsupported brightness interface, please contact ibm-acpi-devel@lists.sourceforge.net
May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.524691] thinkpad_acpi: radio switch found; radios are enabled
May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.524703] thinkpad_acpi: This ThinkPad has standard ACPI backlight brightness control, supported by the ACPI video driver
 May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.524704] thinkpad_acpi: Disabling thinkpad-acpi brightness events by default...
 May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.531954] thinkpad_acpi: rfkill switch tpacpi_bluetooth_sw: radio is unblocked
May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.533465] thinkpad_acpi: Console audio control enabled, mode: monitor (read only)
May 18 12:00:43 albus kernel: [ 6.541994] input: ThinkPad Extra Buttons as /devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/input/input8

all ''software'' switches work, eg i can change brightness, volume, radio,
... from ubuntu top panel, but keys do notking.
The only key that generate anevent is Fn+Esc (FnLk):

May 18 15:30:57 albus kernel: [11041.359017] thinkpad_acpi: unknown possible thermal alarm or keyboard event received
 May 18 15:30:57 albus kernel: [11041.359026] thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6060
May 18 15:30:57 albus kernel: [11041.359031] thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@lists.sourceforge.net

NEWS: now key works. Boh. Seems to me i've only put on suspend the tp 2/3
times...

2) Touchpad. I've run windows (7) only to generate recovery media, but on
windows i've tested the ''three button on touchpad'' and worked.
On linux, i've not found a way to use the touchpad as three button, and using
track point with touchpad as one, big, button is very unconfortable.

This is a very big trouble for me: i love TP because i can use it without an
external mouse, using all the three buttons.

I hope there's at least a workaround...

Thanks.
