Thanks for your assessment.

Since the 6-cell battery is surprisingly cheap on Amazon (=A467,
apparently genuine from Lenovo) I will probably just get a new one.

I did buy the extra 36 months warranty for the internal battery, but I
think the external one is only covered for 12 months. It's already down
to 73% of its design capacity so I guess I will get that replaced in the
upcoming months as well. Does anybody know the threshold for replacement
that Lenovo applies? I cannot find this information in the terms of
service I received after registering.
