I think the mwave is a total disaster and rather than inflicting it on linux users as well as windows users, I wish they would get rid of it altogether and put a conventional modem into the thinkpads. However, if they're going to keep shipping the mwave anyway, I agree that they should open the specs, so feel free to add my name to the petition if you think it will help. Sigh.
