[ltp] Linux - Ibm 600 E

hi
sorry if this was already asked but i have a problem having all my ram 
being recognized

IBM 600 E (366 MHZ)
red hat 6.1

When the computer boots it displays : 228000 for the mem

So i edited the lilo.conf and added: append="mem=227M"

but it keeps displaying 64 Meg ram

any info on this?
