I have finally got a hack to get all they keyboard keys working on the
ThinkPad 1460. I assume this will work on most other ThinkPads too but I
haven't tried.  Notes:

1) this does NOT enable the Easy Launch keys or the CD control keys. I have
not figured out how they work yet. THey don't seem to even generate any
interrupts in the range 0..23. I'm still awaiting word from IBM on this one.

2) This is a bit of a hack right now. It requires modifications to
/etc/X11/XF86Config, as well as a .Xmodmap file AND a new keycodes file. I
think that this should all go in the keycodes file in the end though

3) This makes your numlock work properly in X. On my laptop anyways, it
originally would work but the LED state was very broken. This is no longer
the case.

4) This enables FN and maps it to Super_L. You can use this as a fourth
modifier beyond Shift, Alt and Control. I have it mapped to mod3 right now.
Now you can even, with a bit of a hack, get an apm program to start up by
hitting FN-F2, or a help window to come up with FN-F1. I'm hoping to get
support for more modifiers in KDE2. (emailed developers today)

5) FN inverts the numlock status. So:
   * if numlock is on, FN+{U/4} generates a u
   * if numlock is off, FN+{U/4} generates a 4

You can get these files on my Thinkpad website:
