[ltp] serial devices not working

I have installed Redhat 6.1 on my 600E and can't seem to get the serial
port to work. It is enabled when I use Windblows, palm pilot is able to
sync up just fine. However when I boot into linux I can't seem to get it
working off the default kernel. Anyone have any idea's According to the
IBM 600 linux page the serial port should be working with a default
Redhat 6.0 system.
