Ifconfig will hang?

Hi,

I got the tokenring to work properly with 2.2.10 kernel and the
'pcmcia-cs-3.0.13'. But when I try to apply an IP adress and so on it will
hang until forever. I cant even kill the process. I tried both to apply the
'IP,Mask,GW...' with the /etc/pcmcia/network.opts file and with the
ifconfig command but with the same results.
Is this a known problem for anyone?

My HW is:
IBM Thinkpad 770 (9548)
IBM Tokenring Auto 16/4 pcmcia and IBM Tokenring turbo 16/4 (both cards
will generate the same problem)
