Try adding the line 'floppy=thinkpad' (I can't remember exactly how you do this offhand) but it is essential on my 750Cs or Linux won't be able to read the second floppy disk.

Subject: Thinkpad 755C
Hello.
I am attempting to install Slackware 4.0 on my IBM Thinkpad 755C but
when it comes time to load the ramdisk I get a message that the "Unable
to handle kernel NULL pointer to dereference at virtual address
00000008" and the system halts. I have also tried to install using
RedHat's boot.img's but when I load the supp.img it gives the message
that it can no mount the floppy. This gives me reason to believe that it
all has something to do with the floppy any help would be great and
would be extremely appreciated.
Thanx.
