Well its almost working perfectly...
This is what I got working:
Xfree, PCMCIA, Ethernet, Teles ISDN, IBM Token Ring; IBM Modem (with
GSM), APM.
And what I did:
1. Upgrade the BIOS on the machine
2. Install NT on the First Partition, and SP5.
3. Install RH 6.0 on the Second Partition (only one partition +
Swap)
4. Upgrade Kernel with Kernel-2.2.5-22PCMCIA (RPM file from RH)
5. Upgrade APM with the newest APM.RPM from RH.
6. Changed the lilo.conf so it will use all memory
(append="mem=95M")
7. Changed the lilo.conf to use the new Kernel
8. Run the netconf util and placed my IP Config under /eth0
9. Changed my XFREEConfig file, so it will run X in accel.
mode.
All my card was autodectet and I did not need to do anything to get them
working,
when running "cardctl" I got all info about them and everything is working
fine.
APM, is working fine, does report the status of the Batteries correctly, and
works as far as I can see.
I'm using 3 Com Megahertz 10/100 CardBus card Model 3CCFE575BT
Thinkpad 770 model 9548-300, Pentium 233mhz MMX, 96mb ram, 4gb HD, 13,3" TFT
Display.
Only thing a have not tested is the Infrared Port, and the USB support, has
anyone got that working?
Useful commands are: linuxconf, netconf, cardctl, setup.
I get error when boot-ing, when the delaying of the Ethernetadapter is
running, and starting sendmail does take long time.
But it works fine, now is the time for some office application...
Good luck too all Linux installers...
