770Z Pbs Big hard drive

Dear linux Enthousiasts,
I have the unhappynes to have bought a Thinkpad 770Z
(14 GiG hard disk)
I have difficulties installing linux on it because the setup progrm does not
recognize my hard drive,
I tried boot:linux hda=27390,16,63
I tried boot linux=linear
nothing seems to work
I am aware of the next documensts :

on the specification of the ibm 14 gig drive, but this page seems to have an
error
on the logical layout / nb of cylinder that should be 27,390 instead of
16,383
none of these specifs seems to work either
Do you have any idea ?
